Arrrgh--and so the story goes, that back some centuries ago, in what is now the Caribbean region, pirates were aplenty. As the pirates travelled and marauded upon the seas, as pirates would often do, they formed a common bond among them which was their great appreciation of the coffee bean and a good cup of joe. All pirates carried coffee beans with them in their travels because "when pirates be not drinkin' rum..they be drinkin' Pirate Coffee". It was such that as time went by, the secret phrase among the Bretheren of the Coast for identifying an unknown potential pirate was to ask the stranger "Arrrgh Matey, do ya carry bean?" With the pirates unique pronunciation, the common folk thought they were saying "Caribbean". This is where the Caribbean islands received their name. So it is Matey--if you want to be a real pirate you had better "carry bean".
